Andrew has held various “C” level positions in the alternative investment industry prior to joining the Five Continents Group in 2015. Mr. Linford is a seasoned, multi-faceted investment management professional with experience as a fund director, as well as in both sales and operations, so has a truly unique skill set in the corporate governance field.


Andrew first moved to the Cayman Islands in 1994 to become an audit manager at Price Waterhouse. After two years, he left to establish the Bank of New York's Cayman fund administration business, a leading global fund administrator and custodian. 


In 2000, he opened and headed the Cayman office for GLG Partners, one of the world’s leading alternative investment managers where he sat on the board of its wide range of investment funds which included convertible bond arbitrage, fixed income and credit funds as well as equity long-short strategies.  He also sat on the board of its Irish domiciled long-only UCITS fund offering.  


Andrew returned to London with GLG in 2005 to become Principal in its marketing department and focus his efforts on sales and relationship management with institutional investors. 


Andrew left GLG to join Barclays Capital in 2009 as a Managing Director and COO of the Principal Investments Division, during that time he was responsible for the MBO of Barclays Private Equity bank’s proprietary PE business. 


In 2012, he become the Chief Operating Officer at Coller Capital, one of the world’s largest secondary PE managers.  Coller has offices in London, New York and Hong Kong and managed in excess of £8 billion at the time. 


Andrew began his career in 1989 at Price Waterhouse, a predecessor firm to PwC, where he qualified as a chartered accountant (ICAEW) in its London office as a specialist in financial services. Andrew is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and past president of the Cayman Islands Society of Financial Analysts.
